How funny! I totally did this in 2009 when my baby was born & we didn't have a nursery. I used a clearance 3-drawer thing from Bed Bath & Beyond, and added scrapbooking paper to the inside. I attached it with tape, though, & that didn't work as well bc it snagged & tore over time. It looked a lot better than messy drawers full of diapers & onesies in our bedroom, tho. Love your version!
This is a great idea!! I always look at the one in my bathroom and think "they need to make different colored pieces you can slide in there to had stuff or change the color" I think I'll be trying this out!
Wonderful idea! I tried this with some old maps instead of the scrapbook paper and it looks really cute! Plus, since the maps are kind of "busy" looking, it helps to hide some of the little wrinkles. :)

I just tried this with homemade mod podge and my papers fell off as soon as it was dry. Anyone have any suggestions? Could it possibly be that my homemade mix was too watery, not enough glue?
Found this on Pinterest and today spruced up my 12 year old daughter's bin. Zebra print paper and black paper with metalic pink lips. She LOVES it. Thanks so much for posting!
I'm sure that wrapping paper would work fine. Any kind of paper would work, I chose scrap booking paper because it is what I had available. I bet that you could get a lot of great patterns with wrapping paper though!
I was so hoping someone tried something like this! I would never do the modge-podge version, too much work. Plus, you can change out your papers when you want a new look. Thanks!
not as easy as it seems. I have a different handle and it is a lot harder to fit than the one shown. I have a LOT of wrinkles and bubbles as well as the paper doesn't fit as well with the style of handle on mine. This is still a great idea and even with all the flaws, it still looks better than it did. Thanks so much for sharing your idea :) LP

I'm so sorry to hear that :( Mine are still going strong and I use them pretty regularly. Some other readers have suggested using tape, maybe that would work as a quick fix
I only did the front, The sides didn't show since I have it in between two other pieces of furniture. The sides should be nice and easy though because they are just straight and smooth!
I have a question...I noticed that you adhered the paper to the inside of the drawer. Why would you make a cut out for the handle if on the inside? just curiouse b/c I want to do this. My grandkids live with me and we have many of those plastic bins.

I am going looking for paper with yarn, felt squares, clear/rubber stamps, stickers, tissue paper, beads & buttons or maybe I will just make a big label for each drawer and add stickers or pictures of items might work.

Just a suggestion - put labels that you print on your computer, so you know what is in each drawer. Fantastic idea!!! I use these storage bins for my girls' folded clothes since they are still small. I did this to theirs and even painted the top hot pink sprinkled a little glitter over it and after it dried I mod podged it. They look awesome and my girls loved it!!! Thanks for sharing the idea!!!
Thanks for the tips, I've been looking at covering my drawers with adhesive book cover (that stiff that comes on a roll) but this will be much easier. Glad to hear they held up too.

So I cut up pieces of coordinating scrapbook papers, and did a collage type of covering on the inside of the drawers. They look so cute and I think it was a simpler process for my uncreative self!

I am a sewer with tons of cloth. I bet this would work with modpodge as well and won't have to worry with the wrinkles and bubbles as the fabric absorbs without shrinking (less than 3%). DeleteYou can reduce the amount of bubbles if you wet the paper all the way through first then glue it on as normal
